Saturday would have been 5 years since that fateful night God decided he needed you more than us. Every thing seems so fresh in my mind that it seems like yesterday ... as I relive and recount the events of that day and the those that followed. Sometimes I feel I'm still in shock. At first, subconsciously, I would allow myself to think that you will return, but now I have come to accept that it will be the other way around. So much has happened since you left us, both good and bad. You were always a great comfort to all of us. You would have been so proud of your grandchildren and their achievements and how they have immortalized you in their memories .. whether it's your eggs .. your chocolate milk .. fried chicken ... your jokes and even your annoying moments. You will be forever loved and missed. Sleep in eternal peace ❤️

five years ago today life changed forever, however not for the better as i lost you before my eyes. a night to never be remembered, but somehow plagues my daily existence. to this day, i don’t know if i am to be grateful about seeing you sing, dance, and love before taking your very last breath, or if to feel sad, lost, and empty of the trauma endured when i saw your lifeless body on the floor. you were the best grandpa in the entire world, the one who would save us from getting in any trouble, buy us snacks every time you would leave the house, play with us, buy us pizza and KFC even though there was food at home, the one who would make sure we knew we were loved, and of course how could i forget the silliest of the silliest of jokes told, and curated by you that we still laugh, and make fun of when we are all together, we like to call it a, “grandpa Denzil joke”.
for you, i could go on and on forever. i know if you were here you would be so, so, so proud of all of my milestone accomplishments, but luckily for you everything i do is for you. you are my drive. you are my motivation. sadly, all that i have accomplished somehow still feels so incomplete without you here, to the point where, sometimes celebrating feels wrong, but i know that’s what you would’ve want me to do every time. wherever you are know that i’m going to be the star that you always told me i was going to be; i graduated with form 6 after thinking i couldn’t make it through year 1, i got my first job at a government institution, i’m going to study Law in University, and the list goes on. all for YOU.
to the best of my heart, i love and miss you more than i will ever be able to say, and God knows i will do anything for you to hug me like you did in the doorway the night before you passed, feeling so proud to tell someone i was your granddaughter, somehow i feel like that hug meant, “everything will be okay, you will be okay, and i’m forever with you”, i find my comfort in that. you were nothing short of the absolute best to not only me, but the rest of us too. even though, i spent MOST of my time with you while you were here, i wish i didn’t cry so much to stay with mommy and daddy, when it was time to spend weekends with you and grandma LOL, just so i could’ve had more time, and memories to cherish.
i love you my forever angel.

i know i didn’t write to you in a long time, i just want you to know that i miss you so very much. everyday gets harder, but my love for you grows fonder. i guess that’s what they say about absence. with my birthday being just 5 days away, the most subtle and meaningful memories are ever so apparent as if you are present, but the tears are pungent due to the realization that you are not and never would be. you saw me take my first breath and all the breaths after that, and i was so very lucky in a sense to have seen you take your last. since that day, i physically feel as though a piece of me is missing, and nothing or nobody can paste it back together. i love you more than i do life itself, and i truly hope wherever you are, you’re beaming with pride of everything i accomplished and all that i’ve become. the love you effortlessly gave to me and everyone around you is incomparable and cannot be mimicked. your memories live in my heart, and i promise they’ll never die. i will never forget you. i love you.

Denzil "Bo" Bissessar lived a colorful life. But much pain, emptiness and hurt remain. Condolences too every one of you! You may be wondering if you can be with him again. The scriptures are replete with examples of a resurrection. John 5:28-9.
In actuality, God wants to bring about paradisiac conditions on earth. At that time sickness, pain, suffering, loneliness and anxiety will be a thing of the past. More information about Paradise, God’s Kingdom, resurrection and salvation can be found at jw.org.
