Today, my mom would have been 72 years old. She took pride in taking care of her skin with moisturizers so that she could age gracefully and look youthful as long as possible. She was a youthful dresser as well. Wherever you are mom, we love and miss you. Happy Birthday!

To you the family members of Ms. Lydia Mc Dowell have experienced a great lost that words can hardly explain. I ask that you please accept my condolences.
It seems soo unfear that we only get to spend such a short time with our love ones then we loose them in death. At this time you might we grappling with many disquieting thoughts and questions as to why we die? Does God care about our suffering?
It's interesting what the Bible says at John 3 : 16 " For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life." God made hope for the dead possible by sending his son to die for us. So he understands our pain because he knows what it feels like to loose a love one in death. This loving provision from God really shows that he deeply cares and love us as individuals.
Rest assured that soon this promise will come through at Hosea 13 : 14 " From the power of the Grave I will redeem them; From death I will recover them. Where are your stings, O Death? Where is your destructiveness, O Grave? Compassion will be concealed from my eyes."
