My condolences to the family and friends of 'Nigel'. Death is something that we can never get accustom to especially when you lose someone that is in the prime of their life. You may have heard many person's and some religions over the years saying that when someone dies, God has taken them to a better place. God assures us though through his word the Bible that he does not take delight in the death of anyone, at Ezekiel 18:32 " 'I do not take any pleasure in the death of anyone,' declares the Sovereign Lord Jehovah. 'So turn back and live.' ", therefore God did not take your beloved 'Nigel' away from you. You may then ask, Why did he die? Will I see him again? God's word the Bible provides us with the comforting answers to these questions.
Romans 5:12 "That is why just as through one man sin entered into the world an death through sin, and so death spread to all men because they had all sinned." John 5:28,29 "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out." So because of inherited sin from our first parents Adam and Eve we all face death but we have the assurance that the time will come when we can see our dead loved ones again in the resurrection and under better circumstances.
I am leaving a video link below that will provide with further information on the Bible based hope for the dead. Please watch.
