Please accept my condolences on the death of your loved one Marva C Shepherd-Alves. Grief at this time is normal because the bible compares death to a sting. We can never get used to death although it has been happening since the beginning of time . However the bible gives us comfort and hope, for example Acts 24:15 says " And I have hope toward God which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous." The bible at Titus 1:2 says " And is based on a hope of everlasting life that God, who cannot lie, promised long ago."
