My friendship with Joy began at Saint Joseph’s Convent, San Fernando, when I transferred from NGHS for the sixth form. Every Friday after school we would go to a little shop nearby for arapers (meat pies). We were fortunate to be taught by Sister Paul D’Ornellas as well as other beloved teachers. I loved hearing Joy sing and told her I wanted her to sing at my wedding, if I ever got married. In a school booklet, I described her as the joyful house captain. We remained friends until she passed away. She stands out in my memory, as one of my favorite people.

To the family of Miss Joy Maria Ann my deepest condolences goes out to you. I too have lost loved ones in death and I know how difficult it could be for the family at this time. I will like to share what has helped me to cope. Understanding the hope for the dead has brought me great comfort because we all want to live and we want to enjoy life with the ones we love.So it is only natural that we would want to see our loved ones again. But do you think that this is possible? The bible at John 5:28&29 says" Do not be amazed at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs WILL hear his voice and come out those who did good things to a resurrection of life".So there will come a time when we will be able to see our loved ones again. To the family, friends and loved ones of Joy Caesar my sincere condolences. May our God of comfort give you strength to cope during this difficult time . To the family of Miss Joy Caesar please accept my condolences on her death. 1 Corinthians 15:26 call death an enemy and rightly so because it separate us from our loved ones causing grief and pain. Our loving Heavenly Father Jehovah promises to remove death in that same verse when it says " And the last enemy death, is to be brought to nothing," In the mean time at Psalm 34:18 it assures us " Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit.
