Kindly accept my condolences on the desth of your loved one the late Cecil Mitchell. While it is natural to feel deep grief at the passing of a Loved one, it is comfirting.to know God also feel our pain. He has already provided the means for death to be removed (Jobn 3:16), and has promised to bring to nothing the one causing death (He rews 2:14). Please accept my sympathy on the passing of your Dad 'Cecil'. Nothing hurts more than when a loved one is snatched away by death. Death is described as a sting, an enemy that causes great pain and grief to the family and friends of the one who has died. Death was not a part of God's purpose for mankind and so he gives us comfort and hope in his word the Bible. I will like to share some this comfort with you. Ecclesiastes 9:5(a) "For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing at all..." Acts 24:15 "There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous." Isaiah 2:8 "He will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces." These scriptures are some Jehovah Gods' assurances that can comfort you knowing that your Dad is not suffering in any way rather he knows nothing at all, he's asleep as Jesus said at John 11:11 but he can be awakened in the resurrection in the future and when God will remove death forever, so you can see your Dad again and under better conditions as God tells us at Revelation 21:4.
